• Newly planted young trees need to be deeply watered every day for at least two weeks after they are planted.
• Mulching around the base of the tree helps it to retain its moisture, control weeds, and regulate temperature.
• Trim minor branches with defects every few months, especially in spring and summer.
• Be sure to remove the stubs of branches and other dead matter to prevent pests and infections from taking hold.
