Best Friend Rose (Rosa Best Friend)

Also known as

Best Friend Hybrid Tea Rose

With its wide-spread and dazzling all-pink blooms, the Best Friend rose immediately catches the eye to make a simple yet stunning statement. Originally cultivated in France, the Best Friend hybrid tea rose was bestowed its current name by our very own RSPCA to commemorate the special bond pet owners have with our furry, scaly, finned and feathered friends.

Take a trip to your nearest All Green nursery in Hoppers Crossing and Geelong to see these blushing beauties in person. You can buy Best Friend roses potted or bare-rooted.

Caring for your Best Friend roses

We recommend you plant your new Best Friend rose bush during the winter, in a sunny spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day during the winter. Plant your bush in well-draining soil to prevent root rot.

Roses need regular watering, especially during hot, dry weather. Water deeply at the base of the plant to encourage deep root growth, and avoid getting water on the leaves or flowers to prevent fungal diseases.

When pruning Best Friend roses, it's important to make clean cuts at a 45-degree angle and cut back to an outward-facing bud to encourage healthy growth. Timing is also crucial, and it's best to prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
